Cards in the mail!

Most of you already know, but I had total knee replacement on my right knee on Jan 8th and my left Jan 15th, so am home recuperating. I have received many wonderful cards in the mail, but wanted to show you the handmade ones. Thank you so much!

from Cindy Jones, fun legal size card
from Diane Doro
 also by Diane,
all made with SU punches-ornament upside down for bowl, circle punch, and scallop circle punch.
By Lynn Wittmeier, new in color-summer starfruit
 Also by Lynn
Made by Paula Smith, uses all of the doilies from the delicate doilies sizzlet
another one from Paula, "putting ink to a virgin stamp set" she said.

Bloomin Marvelous

One of the benefits of being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator is that we get to preorder products. We got FREE SAB products with $50 in orders and this is one of the first items that I chose.
I used a card by Mary Fish as my inspiration for this card. I changed the colors and took these from the color coach-perfect plum, marina mist, and rose red. The ribbon is a new in color primrose petals that matched quite well.
This is another card we made at club this month. I changed up the colors slightly, also using the color coach-rose red, baja breeze, and elegant eggplant. I added old olive for the leaves. The butterfly is in this set as well and has a NEW punch that coordinates with this image as well as Papillon Potpurri. There are 4 sentiments and a hummingbird in this set also. I used dazzling details on my sample, but had the ladies use rhinestones for more bling.
This is a card that my sister Joyce from KC made. She used masking and the script stamp from french foliage. Colors are wisteria wonder, elegant eggplant, and old olive. She also used rhinestones in the middle of her flowers.

Chalkboard cards all the "rage"

This is the card we made at Hostess/Customer appreciation as well as the first stamp Club of the year. It uses the new "Hearts A Flutter" bundle-$36.95 for clear stamps and framelits-from the spring catalog. Each of the shapes on the banner except the small hearts punched is a framelit plus there is one more shape. The stamp set has stamps to match all the shapes as well as several of the small hearts. We also used the new vintage faceted buttons from pg 176, only $5.95 for 24 buttons in 3 different sizes.
The chalkboard effect uses white embossing and a bit of white sponged ink to look like chalkboard dust. I used my white watercolor pencil to add the border. You could get creative and "doodle". There are many examples that look like subway art, etc.

Shaker frames

The shaker frames are kind of hidden in the new catalog. My gals didn't even know they were there until we used them for this card in December. They are on the bottom of page 177 in the middle. You get 36 frames with inside measurements of 1/2, 3/4, 1" 1 1/4, 1 1/2, and 1 3/4. There are 6 of each size. Fill your frames with glitter, buttons, beads, etc.
This card also uses the ornament framelits, new 1 1/4" scallop punch, tulip embossing folder, coredinations cardstock and the sanding system to go with it, and a retired alphabet die.
