Happy Birthday to my Valentine!

The photo is from Christmas.

32 years ago we had our first lovely daughter. Quite an accomplishment with me only being 39 don't you think!! Her due date was 2/12, but she waited until Valentine's Day to put in an appearance. Now she is a mother to 4 and starts the Esthetician program at La James on Wed. How soon before I can come in for a facial?

Sale-A-Bration Goodies

I got the Ice Cream Parlor paper and Ribbon and Button pack FREE with my last order. Today I finally had time to play. This is actually one of the cards that we are going to make Sat at stamp club. I love bright colors, and this one definitely fits the bill. The photo does not do it justice!!
With each $50 purchase you have your choice from: 4 stamp sets, Chalkboard Decor Element, Ribbon and Button pack, Ice Cream Parlor DSP with 2 pages of adhesive die cuts, or all of the items as a download for My Digital Studio. There are also many stamps from the Idea Book and Catalog to choos from as well. You only have until 3/31 to take advantage of this great offer! So
call or email to schedule your own party or get your order in.

My NEW Favorite stamp set and punch combo

I have to say that this punch is my absolute favorite. I have an earlier post with several stamped samples, but I decided to try it with some designer paper (DSP). These are all made using retired paper, but I have another one in progress with the new Ice Cream Parlor DSP FREE from sale-a-bration. No the flowers are not true to nature, so if that bothers you, just use the stamp set as well. But this is an easy way to use some of that stash of paper that you've been hoarding! Yes you, I know you hoard paper!! So get busy.

Cased from catalog page 17

I liked the card on page 17, so decided to copy it, but I used wild wasabi instead of old olive. Then I improved on the original by adding a pearl eye.

Teabag card

Cut cardstock in half lengthwise. Score at 1 3/4" from one end and 3 7/8' from the other end. The two folds will slightly overlap. Use sticky strip to fasten the bottom fold to hold the teabag. This is a nice card to send to someone who is under the weather or adapt it for any tea drinking friend. I used the same design as my sister did for her teabag card, see that card that I just added to the post "I am so proud of my sister".

Bargello technique

The technique is best done using stripes. I used the new springtime vintage designer paper from the Occasions mini for this card. The gathered victoria lace trim adds a vintage feel to this card. The butterflies add some whimsy.

This card uses paper from Greenhouse gala. If I were doing it again, I wouldn't use quite so much dsp.
