Veteran's Week at Branson

We are in Branson for Veteran's Week. Week you say, I thought it was Veteran's Day? Well in Branson they celebrate all week!

We first spent 2 days in Mountain Home, Ar visiting with friends we met down here 3 years ago.  They traveled up to Branson with us and we have done many things together.

We arrived Thur to attend a mini Vietnam Veterans reunion, but it was so crowded that we had no place to sit or see so we didn't stay very long. Fri was a salute to veterans by WalMart and the Branson veterans task force. It was 3 hrs of entertainment and tribute to veterans including a wedding! Then a free meal for everyone. We spent several hours Sat visiting vendor village, veterans day room, and the lunch room with a free meal for the vets. Then we went to the Titanic exhibit where Chris got in free and I got a veterans family discount. We had never been and it was a fascinating 2 1/2 hrs of history. Today we went to our church home away from home, Calvary Baptist Church right here in the heart of Branson. Tomorrow is a huge parade, then free lunch at Applebee's and supper at Golden Corral for the veterans.
