French Foliage and one Gently Falling card

I made this card at my sister's house as she got this stamp set and paper, also the fabric and buttons. I'm not sure I am happy with the bow, will have to think on that. I used a strip of the dsp as a punched layer and for inside the card.
A swap card that I received last year at the Des Moines regional event by Stampin'Up!
I received this beautiful card in a WOW swap at convention this year. She put a lot of time and effort into this.
 Another Des Moines regional swap
One I made last fall. It also uses the clear block stamping technique. I love the vintage brads paired with the lace.

Accordian card

I go to a monthly stamp club at Urbandale library (not Stampin'Up! affiliated) and the members take turns teaching a technique or style of card. Last week Paula brought this card for us to make. It used one sheet of 12x12 specialty paper. It was a heavier weight and had lots of fun details to the paper. We cut a 5 1/2 x 12 " piece for the card itself and used the rest of the paper to cut out various details to embellish the card. I used lots of dimensionals to add depth to most of the additions. I used small bird and small butterfly punches that some ladies brought then sponged and stamped on them to also add some extra details. The card is scored at 4 and 8", then cut each long side 1 1/2 " in from 2-10", then score at 2" and 10" between the cut lines. Clear as mud? Ask for further directions if you want to make a fun card like this. I'm sure it has a name different than accordian, but I'm not sure what it is.
This is the front of it flat. It fits in a regular A2 envelope.
 This is the card standing.
The bird and birdcage are added and popped up.
A bird stamp that someone brought fit perfectly on this small inside panel.
Lots of cutting and dimensionals used here.
A close up of the front.

Happy Bearthday

I ordered a grab bag from Stampin'Up! clearance rack and got the 2 and u so decided to make birthday cards. I needed two cards for our youth pastor and music minister, so didn't want flowers, etc. In looking through my stamp sets, I noticed my build a bear set feeling a bit lonely, and decided to pull it out. I colored the bear using the aqua painter and cut him out, also the balloon. Glad I only had to make two!!! The inside was simple using the chipboard pieces already colored and glittered.

CASED Card in 3 colors

This is a card we made at stamp club Sat. I found a similar one on Stampin' Connection ( a website just for demonstrators where we share ideas) made by Pat Meyer. She used daffodil, but her main card layer was also white. I immediately fell in love with it and made one in all 3 colors that I had of the 1/8" taffeta ribbon. I tried using sharpie markers to color our Stampin'Up! rhinestones and thought they matched until I got them on the card. If you look carefully, we used the NEW Simply Scored to make the score lines around the lace ribbon border punch. That punch is also NEW in the current catalog. We also used the NEW designer frames embossing folder for the layer for the sentiment.
I think this is an elegant wedding card. The sentiment is from word play. The rhinestone added some fun bling.
This was another choice. I posted pictures and let the ladies choose since I couldn't make up my mind. No one chose the black card, but then loved it when they could see the card IRL (in real life). This card has our pearls and most of the ladies used pearls on their cards.

Clear Block Stamping meets French Foliage

This is the technique card we made at club yesterday. I used clear block D to stamp this focal piece using crumb cake. Then I used some dotto to temporarily stick it to the main vanilla panel and stamped the card. I then added the old olive layer and voila!! it all lines up. Note the vintage trinket brad at the bottom corner.
I used 4" of lace to make a knot and added a vintage trinket safety pin and hello from tiny tags punched with the jewelry tag punch. It was attached to the card with a glue dot.
Here is the finished card. I'm quite pleased with this if I say so myself. I used gold smooch spritz as the finishing touch. Click on th epicture to enlarge it to see details. Colors are cherry cobbler, more mustard, old olive, pumpkin pie, and cajun craze. The inside of the olive leaf is colored in with a pumpkin pie watercolor crayon and spread using the aqua painter.
